Job Description

Korn Ferry is partnered with one of the leading food manufacturers who specializes in snack pellets. Our client offers food products to a diverse customer base that includes Fortune 500 companies and other well known food service providers. To continue the company’s rapid growth, we are seeking a Key Account Manager who will inherit existing partnerships with some of the world’s largest food companies and also be tasked with driving new revenue through new client partners.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, technically minded Key Account Manager to drive business growth and maintain strong relationships with food industry clients. The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with sales expertise to provide consultative solutions to our customers. This role offers true growth potential internally and has the ability to eventually take on a larger role within the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5-8 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and industry regulations
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships within the food industry, particularly in the salty snacks sector and food retailers
  • Experience with food manufacturing equipment and processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire new customers and grow existing accounts
  • Provide technical consultation to customers regarding our products and manufacturing capabilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and results
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitive landscape
