Job Title: System Administrator (NEI-19)
Location: Bethesda, MD
CyberData Technologies is seeking a System Administrator to manage and optimize Mac systems and virtual infrastructure. This role involves planning, monitoring, and supervising systems operations to ensure efficiency, performance, and compliance with organizational guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the daily configuration and operation of Mac systems and virtual infrastructure.
Oversee system operations to optimize resource utilization and performance.
Plan and monitor system capacity analysis and ensure scalability.
Manage Nutanix server clusters running VMware vSphere.
Monitor and address virtual infrastructure performance issues.
Analyze and optimize resource usage within the virtual environment.
Perform regular updates, patches, and backups following NIH security guidelines and vendor recommendations.
Manage the hardware lifecycle, including procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning, in line with ITMB standards.
Assess existing infrastructure and recommend improvements to enhance system performance.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize Mac system integration and operations.
Plan and monitor user assistance efforts to ensure accessibility and efficient use of business systems.
Provide training and support to users as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing Mac infrastructure and virtual environments.
Experience with VMware vSphere and Nutanix server clusters.
Technical Expertise:
Advanced knowledge of Mac operating systems and enterprise-level system management.
Proficiency with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Nutanix.
Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and security protocols.
Certifications (Preferred):
Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
