Job Title: Solution Cloud Architect (Azure SME)

Location: Remote (AK time)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect with expertise in Azure and VMware to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing our current environment, planning the migration to Microsoft's Azure VMware Solution (AVS), and ensuring a successful transition to the cloud. This role requires a strong background in networking and the ability to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the current IT environment and identify requirements for migration to Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
  
• Plan and execute the upgrade of VMware on-premises to VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
  
• Collaborate with the Global Service Architect (GSA) and Cloud Service Architect (CSA) teams to define the scope of work and identify necessary professional services.
  
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the migration process.
  

• Train and support internal teams to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing management of the cloud environment. 
  

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Azure, particularly with Microsoft's Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
  
• Strong knowledge of VMware, including upgrading VMware on-premises to VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
  
• Experience with Microsoft Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
  

• Networking background, which would be beneficial for the role.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in cloud migration projects.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  

Location:

• Remote, with the ability to work in Alaska time zone.
