Job Description

Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Dallas - Hybrid

Pay: 100k to 130k (Negotiable based on experience)

Duration: ~6mo CTH

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in commercial real estate to support financial operations, reporting, and data accuracy. The ideal candidate has experience working in a Workday environment, assisting with financial consolidation, and ensuring data integrity. This role will report directly to the Controller and provide key support in financial close processes, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in data cleansing and financial consolidation to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Assist in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Work with the Controller on financial consolidation efforts across multiple entities.
  • Assist in maintaining and optimizing the Workday environment for accounting processes.
  • Perform financial reconciliations, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support cash flow management, financial controls, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, audits, and internal controls.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external auditors to support financial reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with a background in commercial real estate preferred.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday or similar financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and financial regulations.
  • Experience in financial reconciliation, journal entries, and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
