Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and innovative Product Development Leader to lead our Research & Development (R&D) initiatives within the nutraceutical and wellness industry. This role will involve coordinating with contract manufacturers to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, as well as spearheading the creation of cutting-edge products that meet customer needs and market demands. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for wellness and a proven ability to manage the R&D process from ideation through production, while ensuring the highest product quality and consumer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities: Research & Development:

• Lead the development and refinement of supplement formulations across various delivery formats (e.g., capsules, gummies, etc.), ensuring they align with market trends and consumer needs.
• Stay ahead of market trends, emerging scientific studies, and consumer preferences to create innovative products that push the boundaries of the wellness industry.
• Coordinate with third-party manufacturers to assess formulation feasibility and performance, ensuring products are manufacturable at scale.

Ingredient Assessment & Procurement Support:

• Evaluate and select raw materials for inclusion in formulations, ensuring ingredient quality, safety, and efficacy.
• Collaborate with ingredient suppliers to support the timely procurement of materials required for product development and production.

Manufacturing Coordination:

• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges that may arise during the production process.

• Maintain clear and effective communication with manufacturing partners to ensure timely production of prototypes and finished products.
• Oversee third-party testing for potency, stability, and safety to ensure that all products meet industry regulatory standards and quality benchmarks.

Ingredient Technology Monitoring:

• Monitor advancements in ingredient technology, new delivery formats, and industry trends to drive continuous innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Qualifications: Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in product development, R&D, or manufacturing coordination, ideally within the supplement or wellness industry.

Skills:

• Strong expertise in formulation development across multiple product formats, including capsules, gummies, and other delivery systems.
• Proficient in managing third-party testing, with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements, including GMP, FDA, and other relevant guidelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot manufacturing or formulation challenges.
• Ability to interpret and leverage consumer feedback to improve product efficacy, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Exceptional organizational, experimental design, and project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects concurrently.

Communication:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Ability to clearly articulate technical and strategic information to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Education & Certifications:

• A master’s or at least a bachelor’s degree in biology, nutrition, Integrative Health, or a related field.
• Passion for wellness, holistic health, and natural supplements.
