Responsibilities

• Physician will provide high quality, patient-centered, comprehensive, outpatient, general pediatric care to premature babies, infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents through high-school graduation;
• Physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with acute illness, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as asthma and prematurity
• Provider documentation is completed in athenaHealth electronic health record (EHR) system
• Physician must be able to collaborate with nurse practitioners

Qualifications

• MD or DO degrees and valid state licensure
• Strong diagnostic and treatment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team prioritizing patient safety, quality, and experience
• Experience in patient education and counseling
• Ability to use electronic medical records (EMR) systems (we use athenaHealth)

Mali & Mali Pediatrics is a busy, well established, and respected pediatric practice located in Sterling Heights, Michigan (20 miles north of Detroit) on the campus of Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital. The practice consists of 6 pediatricians and 6 nurse practitioners along with a wonderful support staff.

We are seeking up to two BC/BE pediatricians. Positions are for part-time (3 days per week) or full-time (4 days per week). We each see 17 to 22 patients per day. Call is 1 in every 5 weeks by phone from home for emergency center/hospital calls only as a nurse triage service covers parent calls. Work 1 in every 5 Saturday mornings in the office. We have on-site lab and imaging downstairs. We offer competitive benefits-including malpractice insurance, paid vacation, CME, health insurance, and retirement plan. Position is entirely outpatient without any inpatient rounding. Hospital services are covered by a pediatric emergency center, pediatric hospitalists, and neonatologists across the street where 4,000 babies are delivered annually.
