JOB DESCRIPTION 

• Payroll Processing: Accurately process payrolls for all employees, ensuring timely and correct payment of wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
• Data Management: Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, salary changes, deductions, and benefits.
• Excel Expertise: Utilize advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas, to analyze payroll data and generate reports.
• Compliance: Ensure payroll processing complies with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings, garnishments, and other deductions.
• Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular payroll reports to management, including detailed summaries, variance analyses, and trend reports.
• Auditing: Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Customer Service: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, resolve discrepancies, and provide exceptional support.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, implement best practices, and participate in payroll system upgrades or changes.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on using Excel
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
  • Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar).
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to employees at all levels.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of payroll information.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Paycor.
• Knowledge of state-specific payroll regulations.
