National Account Manager - Business Development - Sales to Warehouse and Engineering

A players Only. Tremendous opportunity for a strong salesperson looking for a challenging (but rewarding) sales position with on target earnings of $120,000 - uncapped commissions too.

You Must:

  • Have a prior success selling custom and semi-custom engineered solutions to management and director levels or higher (ideally within engineering and warehousing) that weren't necessarily looking to buy what you're selling
  • Have experience selling in longer sales cycles, 3-6 months (the average sales cycle is just under 90 days)
  • Have a proven track record of selling 5-6 figure deals (the average sale is $50k+)
  • Be willing to prospect daily via the telephone, additionally thru nurture marketing campaigns
  • Know how to get referrals and introductions into multiple locations at each customer
  • Work from our Roselle, IL office at least 2-3 days per week after the initial on-boarding

Our client’s  National Account Manager position is open to help fuel the company’s continued growth goals - but this position is not for the timid or weak.

The  ideal candidate for this position has 5 or more years experience as:

  • A BDR/SDR who has sold capital equipment to engineering/warehousing
  • An Account Executive who has sold capital equipment to Fortune 500 accounts

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Great Game of Business (GGOB) and Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)

You Will:

  • Be responsible for end-to-end sales from prospecting until the close
  • Generate & Close New Sales Opportunities: Calling Fortune 500 companies and selling our pallet inverters, retrievers, and other material handling equipment (not forklifts) thru self-generated leads, as well as company generated leads to achieve monthly sales goals.
  • Prospecting and qualifying leads:  You will have assigned industries for you to prospect, and will have assigned accounts to manage and grow - in addition to your self generated opportunities (which you'll earn more commission)
  • Create and Expand Relationships: Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with prospects and customers so that you’re not just a “one and done” transaction
  • Manage your pipeline: Utilizing our CRM, you will manage your pipeline effectively. Each opportunity will have next steps, dates, and movement. 
  • Be expected to travel up to 27% overnight

Compensation:

This position is a base plus commission opportunity. The anticipated base salary for the right candidate is about $90,000. Commission is based on the gross profit percentage of the sale (and deals that you originate thru cold calling gets a higher commission).

First year total on target earnings (base plus commission) is expected to be about $120,000.
