Job Description: Project Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced SDLC Project Manager with 7+ years of expertise in managing software development lifecycle projects. The successful candidate will ensure software application projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. This is an onsite position requiring the candidate to work five days a week at our Nassau Bay location. Expertise in tools like JIRA, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project is essential. The individual will be responsible for project scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, stakeholder communication, and overall project governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

• Oversee comprehensive project management tasks for software application development aligning with the SDLC process.
• Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring tasks are executed to meet project objectives.

Project Planning and Scheduling:

• Develop detailed project plans and track progress using JIRA, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project tools.
• Monitor project milestones and deadlines, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep the project on schedule.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, timelines, and potential risks.
• Facilitate meetings, including kickoffs, stand-ups, and post-mortems, to ensure alignment and open communication.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and obstacles proactively and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Maintain a risk register and communicate updates effectively to stakeholders.

Quality Assurance and Accountability:

• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and align with business requirements.
• Monitor and enforce team accountability for timelines and deliverable quality.

SDLC and Agile Practices:

• Manage projects leveraging SDLC methodologies, including agile or waterfall approaches, depending on project needs.
• Ensure team adherence to established processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 7+ years managing software application projects across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with JIRA, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project for project tracking and management.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Proven ability to manage project risks, resolve conflicts, and keep the project timeline intact successfully.
• Methodology Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Agile project management certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Work Environment:

• This role is 100% onsite and requires availability during business hours five days per week.
