Job Description for Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is a key member of the OMI Marketing team. This individual will work closely with the Senior Creative Services Manager and Graphic Design team to execute concepts, design, and produce physical and digital assets for OMI's Industrial, Commercial, and Consumer brands. In this role, you will collaborate with different teams to develop creative assets that drive sales and build OMI's brands. Projects may include but are not limited to ecommerce graphics, banner ads, emails, POP, printed collateral, packaging design, short animations, video editing and more.

Responsibilities of Graphic Designer include, but are not limited to

  • Work closely with the Senior Creative Services Manager to create compelling designs and layouts that engage costumers and drive sales for our consumer and industrial brands.
  • Collaborate with other teams to execute printed and digital assets including PDP pages, amazon graphics, email, social media ads, packaging, POP, video animations, display ads and more.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
  • Contribute to the culture of the creative team, promoting positivity and teamwork.
  • Utilize our project management system (Wrike) consistently for timely and effective team communication.
  • Manage projects from conceptualization to production, developing sample layouts, presenting samples for approval, and preparing final layout for production.
  • Assist in designing materials for internal branding and sales efforts, including occasional design assistance with PowerPoint presentations.
  • Interacts and collaborates effectively with internal and external team members to assure all creative needs are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, Advertising, or other related field.
  • 3+ years related work experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects.
  • Ability to show creativity and be on trend within corporate guidelines.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly, concisely, and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-centric environment with the ability to absorb and apply constructive feedback.
  • Ability to develop positive and effective relationships with co-workers, vendors, and customers with varying technical skill sets.
  • Comfortable with changes in priority.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Eager to take on new challenges, implement new approaches and push creative solutions.
