Executive Director – Finance & Nonprofit Leadership

A leading professional association dedicated to connecting, supporting, and informing finance professionals with an interest in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is seeking an experienced Executive Director . This organization also invests in the next generation of business professionals through its foundation.

We are looking for a dynamic leader with a strong background in fundraising, membership growth, and organizational management to drive the association’s mission and strategic growth.

Your role:

  • Develop and execute a long-term strategic vision for the organization and its foundation.
  • Enhance fundraising efforts, membership engagement, programming, and revenue streams.
  • Manage financial resources efficiently to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Elevate the organization's profile among members, finance professionals, academic institutions, donors, and key stakeholders.
  • Strengthen and expand member benefits to increase engagement and value.
  • Build strategic partnerships with relevant organizations to enhance impact.

Leadership & Management Duties

  • Oversee all operational aspects of the association and foundation, reporting directly to the Board Chair.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson, representing the organization at events and public forums.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, donors, and corporate partners.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate staff and volunteers, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure digital platforms, communications, and technical capabilities remain effective and up to date.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, governance, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • We seek a senior professional with:
  • Proven experience leading a professional association, nonprofit, or similar organization.
  • Strong track record in fundraising, membership growth, and revenue generation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, particularly trends affecting the MENA region.
  • Business acumen and expertise in stakeholder and team management.
  • Ability to drive thought leadership through strategic forums and communications.
  • Experience working with a board, managing transitions, and adapting to various leadership styles.
