Job Summary: Become the Newest Member of the Family

Civil Clothing Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated E-commerce Site Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for curating, optimizing, and managing the digital merchandising experience across our website. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including marketing, creative, design and buying —to deliver a seamless online shopping experience that drives conversion and maximizes revenue.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital merchandising, e-commerce trends, and customer behavior, with experience in leveraging data and analytics to optimize site performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Merchandising & Product Placement: Manage the presentation of products on the e-commerce site, ensuring that merchandise is visually appealing and strategically placed to drive sales. Oversee product categorization, collection creation, and homepage layouts.

• Product Data Management: Collaborate with product teams to ensure product information is accurate and complete (e.g., descriptions, images, sizes, and availability). Monitor product assortments and ensure that SKUs are aligned with seasonal trends and promotional strategies.

• Brand Awareness & Understanding: Supporting and understanding the brand’s vision and work closely with creative teams to bring to life.

• Campaign & Promotion Execution: Implement and manage online promotional strategies including sales, seasonal campaigns, and special collections. Ensure timely execution of campaigns, ensuring products are showcased and priced correctly.

• Testing & Optimization: Use data analytics and testing to optimize product placement, category structure, and overall site navigation. Recommend site changes based on insights from user behavior and sales performance.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with the marketing, production, buying and creative teams to align merchandising strategies with brand goals, seasonal trends, and current market conditions. 

• Trend Awareness: Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging digital merchandising techniques to ensure the website remains competitive and relevant in the market.

• Visual Merchandising: Collaborate with the creative team to develop and implement a visually compelling product presentation that aligns with brand aesthetics and storytelling.

• Emails: Prepare email newsletters that are curated based on trend for upcoming launches and key collections. 

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising or retail merchandising, preferably within the fashion or lifestyle sector. Experience with platforms like Shopify is a must.

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, interpret performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions. Familiarity with Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel, and/or e-commerce analytics tools.

• Creative Eye: A strong sense of style and visual merchandising to curate the digital experience while aligning with brand identity and customer expectations.

• Technical Skills: Experience with e-commerce platforms. Familiarity with HTML/CSS or basic web development is a plus.

• Team Player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, creative, and operations.

• Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing trends and consumer preferences in a fast-moving e-commerce landscape.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is a plus..

• Experience in fashion, sportswear, or lifestyle retail is a plus.

• Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices to support merchandising efforts.
