We are seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize business operations, drive eCommerce growth, and oversee financial and administrative processes. Our client runs a legal media company dedicated to assisting civil plaintiff's lawyers in achieving success. This leadership role requires a proactive, strategic thinker who can enhance efficiency, improve systems, and support the team in achieving business goals.

As Director of Operations, you will:

• Oversee daily operations, staff coordination, and workflow efficiency.
• Maintain staff morale and productivity to align with company goals.
• Develop and implement operational strategies for business growth.
• Manage business licensing, tax filings, royalty calculations, and financial organization.
• Collaborate with the owner on contracts and legal matters.
• Oversee budgeting, check writing, and financial strategy.
• Ensure high-quality customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Foster strong relationships with vendors and authors.
• Oversee professional and accurate company communications.
• Represent the company’s publishing and digital marketing initiatives.
• Oversee company presence at industry events and trade shows.

Who we’re searching for / About you:

• On-site availability (five days per week) – remote work is not an option.
• Proven leadership experience in business operations and team management.
• eCommerce expertise – Shopify experience required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Acrobat, and Google Suite .
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service and vendor management experience.
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
• Proficiency in Klaviyo or other automated email marketing software
• Sales & marketing experience for optimizing eCommerce growth.
• Event planning and trade show experience.
