Job Description

Position Overview:

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the Project Manager in the successful execution of multifamily and commercial TI construction projects . This role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of construction processes, and the ability to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients .

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and documentation to ensure smooth project execution.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, field teams, and subcontractors to track project progress and address any challenges.
• Support the bidding, procurement, and subcontractor selection process.
• Help prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project reports .
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Ensure adherence to local building codes, contract requirements, and company quality standards .
• Assist in the closeout process, including punch lists, as-built documentation, and final inspections .

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on multifamily ground-up and TI projects .
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, contracts, and cost control .
• Experience working with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar project management software .
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts .
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
