Job Description

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for training and supervision of Account Managers.

· Responsible to make sure Account Managers are fulfilling their job responsibilities and customer needs.

· Effective management of CNA’s (Credit Not Allowed) taken by our customers

· Monitor and maintain reporting and metrics

· Arrange for coverage for Account Managers when needed. (Vacations, sick days.)

· Handle calls from customers who have problems and need to talk to a manager.

· Drive continuous improvement projects related to processes like quoting, stocking levels, packaging, and shipments to customers.

· Coordinate all quoting activities working closely with SBBU manager.

· Work closely with the Director of Sales for the North, Director of National Accounts and all the Commercials Managers for the North to ensure alignment in our selling activities.

· Create an environment that fosters a high level of employee engagement with the Account Managers. Developing team members to achieve their potential.

· Collaborate effectively with all the functions in the business including Materials, Scheduling, Operations, Quality, and Logistics.

Experience & Education:

· Ability to operate computer and working knowledge of SW System.

· Some understanding of machine capabilities and ASTM specifications for material grades.

· Above average communication skills, customer service and ability to deal with different personalities.

· Ability to lead and organize employees.

· Experience and knowledge of steel, the steel industry, and commodity-based markets.

· Four-year degree preferred
